LIFE AND WORK:
Octavius Winslow (1808 - 1878) was born in England, but grew up in New York.
Winslow began his ministry in America, having been ordained in New York in 1833.
Winslow returned to England where he continued his ministry, pastoring churches in Leamington Spa, BAth and Brighton.
In 1861, Winslow spoke at the opening of the Metropolitan Tabernacle, which was of course pastored by Charles Haddon Spurgeon.
Octavius Winslow died on the 5th March 1878 and was buried in Abbey Cemetery, Bath.

This book has been gleaned from the journal of Whitmore Winslow, the son of Octavius Winslow. He died at age 21.
